Free candy?

Ok, it gets weirder. The kids just came home and the empty pillow cases they were carrying are now filled with candy. They explained to me that when they ring people's doorbells and say, "trick or treat", the other people put candy in their pillow cases. I'm going to have to try that.

Halloween

Today is Halloween. Despite the kids' best efforts to explain the meaning of this holiday to me, I still can't figure out why they are dressing up in silly clothes and running around the neighborhood with pillow cases. What strange customs these people have.

Ta da dump, ta da dump, ta da dump dump dump...

Sorry I haven't written in a while. I've been really busy. The squirrels continue to breed and I have yet to actually catch a single one, though I've figured out how to get pretty high up in the trees. The sofa seems to be near death. I heard the people talking about taking it somewhere called the dump, which I think is like a cemetery for couches. I thought they'd be happy, but for some reason, they still don't appreciate my efforts.
